Clinique Chubby Stick Review

Colour - mighty mimosa

I have had my chubby stick for nearly a year now and it's still going strong. Now I will admit I haven't used it everyday and I did go serveral weeks without it but I absolutely love it.

My only problem with the chubby stick was that it seemed to dry my lips out despite being moisturising.

However, I cannot argue with the colour, it's strong and lasts a long time. I have used this product from shopping trips to parties and it is the perfect size, so it fits in your bag.

Also with this colour it is very natural and gives your lips some extra colour and shine thats not to over the top.

I would definitely recommend this product. Great for a present :)

Let me know what you think of the chubby sticks or if you have any recommendations for me?

Please leave me a comment. x

Halloween cupcakes

As Halloween is tomorrow I decided to have a go at some Halloween cupcakes.
They are simple, quick, fun and easy to make !!

Chocolate cakes
Ingredients
4oz butter                         1 ½teaspoon cocoa powder
4oz caster sugar                 2 teaspoon milk
4oz self raising flour            ½ teaspoon vanilla essence
2 eggs

Method
1) Heat the oven to 180° fan
2) Add butter and sugar to bowl and mix together until light and fluffy
3) Alternately add eggs and sieving flour to mixture
4) Add cocoa powder
5) Add milk and vanilla essence
6) Fill cupcake cases until around 3/4 full
7) Put in the oven for 15-20 mins
Tip - use a kebab skewer to test if cakes are done. Stick the skewer in the middle of the one cake if come out with mixture on then the cakes aren't done so put in for a little longer but keep your eye on them because you don't want them to burn, now that would be scary !!!

Decoration

Ingredients

5oz butter                                  Few drops Orange food colouring
10oz icing sugar                            Few drops Green food colouring
½ teaspoon Vanilla essence              Chocolate icing

Method
1) Add butter to bowl and mix until soft
2) Sieve icing sugar, stir and add vanilla essence
3) Split the mixture into two bowls
4) Add orange food colouring to one and green to the other keep adding drops until you are happy with the colour.
5) Smooth on the orange icing to all cakes
6) Put a spoon on green icing onto the top of the cake and using the spoon make little spikes
7) Using chocolate icing draw 2 triangles, a zigzag mouth and a line at the top through the green for your pumpkins stork
8)Enjoy !

Adult Gymnastics

I was a gymnast so once i was old enough to take part in adult gymnastics i "jumped" at the chance. The idea of doing gymnastics but only doing the bits you want to and being able to push yourself as much as you were able really appealed to me and plus once a gymnast always a gymnast that urge to go and do a flick never goes away.
After doing a short warm up, we were let loose on the gym...

Once we had had a little play to find out what we could still do it was time to get back to business. One of my major goals while attending adult gymnastics was to see if i could still do a full twisting back somersault. Well here it is ...
Once i had done my full twist the other moves just kept in coming...
Upstart
Standing tuck back

So if you are a previous gymnast and want to get back into it or just someone who has always liked the idea  i would definitely recommend it. It is a great way to have fun but also exercise at the same time and because you are enjoying you don't realise how much exercise you are actually doing.

If you enjoyed this or have any improvements i could make as i only wish to get better then please leave me a comment.

Whoops... what a mix up ?

This week, me and one of my friends decided to go into town after college. After finishing shopping we decided to go and get a hot chocolate and as it has been so cold we couldn't think of a better way to warm ourselves up before heading home.

My friend had put a caramel shot in hers and i had ordinary and the way we told the difference is because the one with the caramel shot had a funny shaped marshmallow.

Now this is where the mix up comes in, as i started to drink mine i said mine tastes a bit weird, i wonder if they have changed their hot chocolate? but then she said mine tastes strange too. After having a sip of each others we realised they must have changed the glasses when putting them on the tray !!!

So i guess now we know never to trust weird looking marshmallows but i must say a hot chocolate with a caramel shot = delicious

First Day At College

As like most people i started back to college on Monday.

However, after my first year of A levels didn't go exactly to plan i decided it was time for a change. I moved from my local 6th form to college.

It was a big decision to move to college although i was able to continue my second year and pick up a new AS, the thought of having to go into a year were everyone had already made friends and i only knew 2 people in my year group that had gone to college the year before.

As the first day came closer and closer i got even more nervous. I had a number of bad thoughts going through my head. "what if i don't make any new friends" or "what if i have to sit on my own and people will laugh at me".

The night before, i'm not going to lie i had hardly any sleep, which i am sure happens to most people in the same situation when starting a new school and it is not the ideal thing to do either.

In the morning i made sure i had everything i needed and my mum dropped me off at college.

As i walked in there were a number of people giving directions and showing people where they should be. That's when i realised that i wasn't the only new person who didn't know anyone, most people where in the same boat.

After being shown where to go i saw someone who i recognised, one of the girls who had moved up the year before and she introduced me to a lot of her friends and before i knew it i was having conversation with people i had never met.

I then got my timetable and people are so helpful telling you where to go. I was to busy worrying about what could go wrong i didn't think of the positives.

So to people who maybe are starting a new school, college or transferring like me just remember its normal to be nervous but there is probably lots of other people who are feeling exactly the same. Just be yourself and be confident enough to talk to people who you are sat next to in your lesson even if it's just a hello and it will all be fine.

My 17th Birthday :)

On the 31st August it was my birthday.

I had a relaxing morning, just stayed in my PJ's and opened some of my cards. When my dad came home from work it was time for presents... Exciting !!!!

After opening all my presents me and my mum went food shopping since we had no food in the house haha, but this was a good thing because while i was out my sister was baking my birthday cake.

Later on, my family arrived and i got even more presents (feeling very spoiled) and finally got to eat my delicious birthday cake.

The treats didn't stop there... me,my mum,my dad and my sister all went out to Frankie and Benny's. The meal was so nice and extremely filling.

Here is a photo of my birthday cake...
This is a marble cake shaped like a gingerbread man ... so cute !!!! :)

Thank you for a lovely birthday xxx
